About the Role

We are an Australian professional services company working with construction companies, subcontractors, and suppliers across Australia.

We are hiring a Business Development & Social Media Market Intelligence Specialist to help identify potential clients, open professional conversations, and research industry developments that can guide our social media outreach and AI content strategy.

This role is sales focused (approximately 50%) combined with market research and topic discovery (approximately 50%). Understanding what’s going on will increase your sales hit rate.

The successful candidate will communicate directly with Australian companies including accounts payable teams, directors, and financial managers. This role reports directly to the leadership team of an Australian firm and is trusted with being the front person and main contact with valuable clients’.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development (50%)

  • Cold calling Australian companies (maximum 50 calls per day)

  • Speaking with accounts payable departments, managers and business owners

  • Introducing our services and identifying opportunities

  • Sending professional outreach emails and invitations

  • Direct messaging prospects via LinkedIn and social platforms (within limits)

  • Scheduling calls or meetings with qualified prospects

Market Intelligence & Research (50%)

  • Research Australian construction & insolvency industry developments and news

  • Identify companies that may benefit from our services

  • Monitor industry forums, social media, and publications

  • Suggest topics and ideas for social media content

  • Note: 50% of your time will be on social media and research platforms.

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate CRM records

  • Follow structured outreach and follow-up protocols

  • Track communication and prospect engagement

Requirements

  • Near-native written and spoken English

  • Confidence speaking with Australian companies

  • Experience in outbound sales, business development, or appointment setting preferred

  • Strong research ability

  • Organised and comfortable using CRM tools

  • Experience with Australian, or UK clients preferred

Compensation

  • Base salary: ₱90,000 – ₱120,000 per month

  • In addition to base salary, the role includes performance bonuses for converted sales.

  • Top performers can earn an additional ₱30,000 – ₱60,000 monthly incentives based on results.

Part 2 — Real Sales Response

  • Scenario: A receptionist says “Accounts are busy and don’t take sales calls.” In 2–3 sentences, explain what you would say next to continue the conversation.

Part 3 — Quick Prospecting Check

  • Find one Melbourne based trade contractor (construction service) company that does business with builders and construction firms and provide the company name, website, and 1–2 sentences on why they are appear to be a good prospect.
